({S}ergentomyia) schwetzi, {S}. ({P}arrotomyia) magna, and the following species belonging to the subgenus {S}intonius: {S}. clydei, {S}. christophersi, {S}. affinis vorax, {S}. adleri and {S}. meilloni. {T}he {S}intonius subgenus (sensu {T}heodor) is paraphyletic. {T}he {M}alagasy specimens morphologically {S}intonius-like are never clustered with the continental {S}intonius. {W}e propose a new subgenus to include them: {T}rouilletomyia subg. nov. {D}ue to the lack of mesanepisternal setae, the species huberti is removed from the genus {P}hlebotomus and we propose here a new combination: {S}ergentomyia huberti comb. nov. {T}he male of {S}. huberti is pinpointed and described for the first time. {L}astly, a new species for {S}cience is described on one female: {S}ergentomyia ({T}rouilletomyia) boironis n. sp.}, keywords = {{MADAGASCAR}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{P}los {O}ne}, volume = {9}, numero = {6}, pages = {e98065}, ISSN = {1932-6203}, year = {2014}, DOI = {10.1371/journal.pone.0098065}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010062279}, }
