@article{fdi:010062010, title = {{F}ish-{AMAZBOL} : a database on freshwater fishes of the {B}olivian {A}mazon}, author = {{C}arvajal-{V}allejos, {F}. {M}. and {B}igorne, {R}{\'e}my and {F}ernandez, {A}. {J}. {Z}. and {S}armiento, {J}. and {B}arrera, {S}. and {Y}unoki, {T}. and {P}ouilly, {M}arc and {Z}ubieta, {J}. and {D}e {L}a {B}arra, {E}. and {J}{\'e}gu, {M}ichel and {M}aldonado, {M}. and {V}an {D}amme, {P}. and {C}espedes, {R}. and {O}berdorff, {T}hierry}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{T}he {B}olivian part of the {A}mazon {B}asin contains a mega diverse and well-preserved fish fauna. {S}ince the last decade, this fish fauna has received an increasing attention from scientists and the national authorities as fishes represent one of the most important sources of proteins for local human communities. {H}owever, this fish fauna still remains poorly documented. {H}ere, we present a database for fishes from the {B}olivian {A}mazon. {T}o build the database, we conducted an extensive literature survey of native and non-native (exotic) fishes inhabiting all major sub-drainages of the {B}olivian {A}mazon. {T}he database, named {F}ish-{AMAZBOL}, contains species lists for 13 {A}mazonian hydrological units, covering 100% of the {B}olivian {A}mazon and approximately 65% (722,137 km(2)) of the all territory. {F}ish-{AMAZBOL} includes 802 valid species, 12 of them being non-native, that have been checked for systematic reliability and consistency. {T}o put this number in perspective, this represents around 14% of the all {N}eotropical ichthyofauna and around 6% of all strictly freshwater fishes inhabiting the planet. {T}his database is currently the most comprehensive database of native and non-native fish species richness available so far for the {B}olivian {A}mazon.}, keywords = {{F}reshwater fishes ; {C}hecklist ; {S}outh {A}merica ; {A}mazon {R}iver basin ; {M}adera ; {R}iver ; {B}olivia ; {AMAZONIE} ; {BOLIVIE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{H}ydrobiologia}, volume = {732}, numero = {1}, pages = {19--27}, ISSN = {0018-8158}, year = {2014}, DOI = {10.1007/s10750-014-1841-5}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010062010}, }
