@article{fdi:010060769, title = {{C}hronology of the {L}ate {W}eichselian glaciation in the {B}ohemian {F}orest in {C}entral {E}urope}, author = {{M}entlik, {P}. and {E}ngel, {Z}. and {B}raucher, {R}. and {L}eanni, {L}aetitia and {A}ster, {T}eam}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{A} glacial chronology based on in situ-produced {B}e-10 surface exposure dating of moraines in the {B}ohemian {F}orest ({C}entral {E}urope) was established. {E}leven exposure ages obtained for moraine boulders in the {P}rasilske {L}ake and {L}aka {L}ake valleys ({C}zech {R}epublic) were complemented by {B}e-10 ages from {K}leiner {A}rbersee ({G}ermany) recalculated according to recently calibrated production rates in the {N}orthern {H}emisphere. {T}he glacial phases in the {B}ohemian {F}orest occurred during the {L}ast {G}lacial {M}aximum around 24.1 +/- 2.5, 23.6 +/- 2.4, 21.8 +/- 2.0 and 19.5 +/- 2.1 ka. {F}ollowing phases of local glaciation occurred during the {N}orthern {H}emisphere deglaciation period around 16 ka and 14 ka. {T}he last indicated phase may correlate with {O}lder {D}ryas. {T}he glacial chronology of the {B}ohemian {F}orest is in agreement with local glaciation chronologies in the {G}iant {M}ts.
