  abstract = {{B}ackground - {T}he inventory of {C}ameroon's flora is far from complete and additional work is needed to document the country's extremely rich flora, and thus enhance its conservation. {I}n this framework, botanical exploration was conducted between 2007 and 2011 in various regions of {C}ameroon and resulted in the discovery of several new national records and new species. {M}ethods - {N}ormal practices of herbarium taxonomy have been applied. {F}or the endemic or subendemic species, a preliminary {IUCN} conservation has been proposed using the {IUCN} criteria. {R}esults - {A} total of twelve taxa are recorded as new for the flora of {C}ameroon. {S}ignificant range extensions are reported for eight restricted-range species. {A} new species, {P}sychotria yaoundensis {O}.{L}achenaud, endemic to {C}ameroon and only know from two rocky hills in the surroundings of {Y}aounde, is described and illustrated. {A}dditions to the flora of {E}quatorial {G}uinea (five species), {N}igeria, {I}vory {C}oast and the {D}emocratic {R}epublic of {C}ongo (one species each) are also reported. {P}sychotria moliwensis and {V}angueriopsis gossweileri are synonymised under {P} fernandopoensis and {V} rubiginosa, respectively. {C}onclusion - {M}any areas within {C}ameroon remain botanically poorly explored. {O}ur exploration highlights the importance of the {R}umpi {H}ills, {T}chabal {M}babo, and the rocky hills around {Y}aounde for plant conservation. {O}ur data will help conservationists in determining areas highly valuable for conservation.},
