({H}ymenoptera: {B}raconidae) and {P}rocerochasmias nigromaculatus ({H}ymenoptera: {I}chneumonidae) were the most recorded parasitoid species in {S}outh {A}frica while {C}otesia sesamiae ({H}ymenoptera: {B}raconidae) parasitized most stem borer species in {M}ozambique. {T}he most common tachinid parasitoid recorded in this study was {S}turmiopsis parasitica ({D}iptera: {T}achinidae). {P}arasitism of stem borers during the off season was previously thought to occur mainly in natural habitats but this study shows that although natural habitats provided refuges for some parasitoid species, stem borer parasitism was generally low in wild host plants, irrespective of whether collections were done during the cropping or off-season. {P}arasitoid beta diversity did not depend on habitat or host plant species, but was determined by stem borer diversity.}, keywords = {{B}iodiversity ; {H}ymenoptera ; {L}epidoptera ; {P}oaceae ; {S}tem borers ; {AFRIQUE} {DU} {SUD} ; {MOZAMBIQUE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{P}hytoparasitica}, volume = {41}, numero = {1}, pages = {89--104}, ISSN = {0334-2123}, year = {2013}, DOI = {10.1007/s12600-012-0267-8}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010058878}, }
