  abstract = {{A}n outbreak of {P}lasmodium falciparum malaria occurred in {T}inzaouatine in southern {A}lgeria in 2007. {T}he likely vector, {A}nopheles gambiae mosquitoes, had not been detected in {A}lgeria. {G}enes for resistance to chloroquine were detected in the parasite. {T}he outbreak shows the potential for an increase in malaria vectors in {A}lgeria.},
