  abstract = {{T}he expected success of {C}hagas disease control programs in the {S}outhern {C}one countries relied on the assumption that {T}riatoma infestans, the main domestic vector, did not maintain silvatic foci except in the {C}ochabamba valley in {B}olivia. {R}ecent fieldwork revealed that wild populations of this vector are much more widespread throughout {B}olivia than previously thought. {T}herefore, it is important to find out whether these silvatic populations could jeopardize control efforts in {B}olivia, and to investigate their possible occurrence in neighboring regions of {P}araguay and {A}rgentina.},
