  abstract = {{N}uclear {DNA} and mt{DNA} polymorphisms were surveyed in various species of {E}ast {A}frican {O}reochromis. {I}n {L}ake {B}aringo, where only {O}reochromis niloticus baringoensis is present, alien mt{DNA} haplotypes were observed, apparently the result of introgressive hybridization with {O}reochromis leucostictus. {T}his introgression is not accompanied by any substantial or recorded transfer of nuclear genes into {O}. n. baringoensis.},
