%X This article sheds light on sacred places and their symbolic configuration in the central highlands of Madagascar. Occupyng a very small land area in contrast to that devoted to agriculture, they are cultural constructions that mark out the territory. Some are intentionally not maintained, while others stand out as reduced-scale reproductions of a landscape model elaborated over time, such as the small rice valley. Thus, one moves from a lifesize landscape to a miniature one in which each element carries symbolic meaning. (Résumé d'auteur)
