The strategies of private promoters go, in fact, far beyond just their economic strategies, and the spatial study of their project often allows a thorough reading of their actual intentions and motives. Their cultural representations seem thus to have quite an important part to play in the "action system" they build, to develop their project. The promoters indeed tend to think of their project as an immanent social action for strengthening the definition of their social and individual identity in traditional structures, and they equate its implementation with a deeper attachment to land, which corresponds more to a transcendental desire.
