Even if it's difficult to estimate precisely the exact number of Kurdish people living in Istanbul, we can claim that it's much easier to be a Kurd in Istanbul than in Diyarbakir (the main city in turkish Kurdistan), because of the new opportunities available to support the identity-making process.
