Murra and Joël Bonnemaison to explicate how non-contiguous places function as a network, can be reapplied to the new international articulations and to development. However, the Andrean archipelago and the Melanesian archipelago, through their spatial bases and the formalizations of their authors, refer to two very different political models : the Andrean archipelago is centered, and thus constituted by islands of unequal weight, while the Melanesian archipelago produces equality among places and among societies.
