  abstract = {{S}ix natural isolates belonging to #{S}podotera littoralis$ {NPV} were identified. {U}sing the restriction endonucleases {E}co {RI} and {B}am {HI}, the {DNA} profiles of each isolate from {G}iza, {M}enya, {K}aliubeia-{K}aha, {K}afr {E}l-{S}heikh, {G}harbeia and {K}aliubeia-{T}okh were differentiated from that of the reference {E}gypt-84. {DNA} electrophoretic profiles on different isolates collected 5 years later were compared to the difference type. {T}he {DNA} sequence was not changed trough three serial passages of viral isolates in vivo, while several viral clones were obtained after the 4th passage.
