  abstract = {{T}his is the first report of a case of {A}frican tick bite fever ({ATBF}) imported to {P}oland from {S}outh-{A}frica. {T}he patient presented with fever of 38.4 degrees {C}, generalized maculopapular rash and single eschar. {D}iagnosis was confirmed by polymerase chain reaction ({PCR}) from eschar biopsies. {T}he patient recovered without any sequelae after 7 days treatment with doxycycline.},
