Suspended solids found in porewaters obtained in waterlogged soil sequences that included representative laterite-podzol transitions, associated brooks and major rivers of the Rio Negro watershed (Brazil) were studied using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopies.
